Psychological Assessment

We offer a wide variety of psychological assessment services, including evaluations for:

  • Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Learning difficulties
  • Memory and general cognitive problems
  • Eating disorders
  • General mental health concerns
  • Individuals seeking to adopt a child
  • Individuals seeking bariatric surgery

Psychological assessments can be helpful in many ways, including identifying a specific diagnosis that is causing distress, identifying strengths, creating more effective treatment plans, determining what therapeutic approach might be the most beneficial, and helping individuals get connected to other resources (e.g., medication consultations, academic accommodations).

The assessment process begins with an intake session, in which you will meet with a psychologist to explore your concerns.  Based on this session, your psychologist will determine which specific tests will be the most helpful to use.  These tests may address a number of domains, including intelligence, academic achievement, attention/concentration, memory, and personality/emotional functioning.  As part of the assessment process, you will receive a detailed report of our findings and recommendations, which we will review with you at a final feedback session.
